Relația Bisericii Ortodoxe Române cu Partidul Comunist: istoric și reziliență

During the communist regime, so difficult and painful for the Church, as well as for its servants and believers, there were numerous achievements, meritorious, courageous, assumed acts, through which the Church continued to fulfill its work in history. An obvious and indisputable example remains, for example, the way in which the Church defended its true faith and authentic values against the communist offensive, even when it was betrayed by some of its sons and daughters who became communists, atheists, Soviet agents and did it more harm than when it was persecuted by foreigners. In the present study we propose to present how the Church appreciated that sometimes compromise can be a working strategy and in many cases a way of survival, as was the case of the Romanian Orthodox Church and all the other sister Churches oppressed by the communist regime.
