Principii de exercitare a autorității sinodale și efectele ei în viața Bisericii

Conciliarity is the way in which the ecclesiastic authority is exercised in matters of faith, worship and moral. Before taking any decision, the members of the synod pray that these be in agreement with God’s will and thus do prayers of invocation of the Holy Spirit. The reception of the synodal decisions reflects faithfully the relation between the synod’s authority and the freedom of the entire body of the Church. In order to avoid any conflict, the members of the synod act with responsibility and attention to the faithful they represent. The synod has three dimensions: the synod of the bishops, the whole clergy synod and the extended synod of the entire body of the Church.
