Approaching the personality and work of Father Professor Dumitru Stăniloae is done with humility and prayer. His theology springs from experience with God and brings peace to peopleʹs hearts. Familiarity with God is a important feature of his theology. This state of delicate closeness to the mystery of God is also manifested in the kindness or gentleness that made him loved and sought after by all who wanted to taste the light hidden in his words and advice. His work is more accessible when we know the great theologian from the testimonies of his contemporaries or from his own confessions. The present text aims to show that his theology springs from prayer and his great love for people.
