In our study on the hymnographic theology of the Feast of the Annunciation, we aim to highlight the indissoluble connection that exists in the Orthodox Church between the doctrine of faith and prayer, by referring to the main hymnographic themes of the feast: the divine counsel ordained by God, the ladder in the dream of Patriarch Jacob, the burning bush, the dew on the fleece, the light cloud, the Eve-Virgin Mary parallel, Eve’s sorrow-the Virgin Mary’s joy, the virginal conception of the Savior Jesus Christ in the womb of the Virgin Mary through the work of the Holy Spirit, the ontological restoration of humanity in the divine-human Hypostasis of the Savior Jesus Christ, the intercession of the Theotokos, the ever-virginity of the Theotokos, the veneration of the Theotokos, the humility of the Virgin Mary, the restoration of creation in the divine-human Hypostasis of the Savior Jesus Christ, the appropriation of the event of the Annunciation.
