In the historical research called “Patterns of monastic organisation
in the Orthodox world in the 14th and 15th century (Byzance,
Balkans and Russia)”, the autors analyse the role of the monastic
life in the organisation of the Church and the specific patterns of
the Orthodox world in a chronological way: Egypt, Siria and Mesopotamia,
Greece, Mount Athos, the Balkans (Serbia and Bulgaria),
Russia, and their religious, cultural, theological, missionary impact
in the life of the Church.
