The study entitled „Tears of Saints” describes a part of the humility and sufferings of the Romanian Orthodox Church, during the second half of the last century, caused by the Atheist Communist Regime. The author emphasises the brutality of the „reeducation” and of the „Pitești Experiment”, that took part in Pitești Prison. The moral and religious virtues proved by the heroes of the anti-communist fight are described in particular. Some of these sublime characters are contemporary saints who sacrificed their lives in order to save the faith and spiritual values.
