Theological Reflections on Human Sexuality
20 January 2021
The topic of human sexuality is so complex that it did not received and, maybe, it will never have an exhaustive explanation capable of pleasing all people, regardless of their religious or philosophical beliefs. In the Christian Tradition the subject does not benefit of a sole theology, accepted by all. Thus, the Holy Fathers and the ecclesial writers from West and East display a wide range of opinions from explanations that consider sexuality a consequence of the original sin to positions that consider it a spiritual manifestation, angelic, which does not include pleasure and the body. The reflection that follows aims to give short guidelines regarding the theological understanding of sexuality in the spirit of the Eastern Fathers.
