Some might interpret the teachings of Holy Father Dionysius Ignat from the Holy Mountain as an expression of traditionalism and excessive rigor, of a fundamentalism and an anachronic and retrograde religious extremism. But we have the firm conviction that these are the words of an authentic Abba, a spiritual Father, tested in the struggle against the moral evils, fully engaged in defending and proclaiming the ultimate truth, which is Christ. Therefore, his words are a testimony of the spiritual visionary and of the prophetic Christian. Similarly, we can consider him to be perhaps one of the last representatives of Orthodox authentic and traditional monasticism, a man who loved the tradition and the order, the silence and the obedience, the humble prayer and the reflection.
