This research aims to deliver a contribution to specifying main elements or features that provide identity to Orthodoxy. The article aims to underline the specificity of Orthodoxy, by taking into account its origin, its historical development, as well as its current meaning from a theological point of view, as well as from the perspective of Christian confessionalism. The purpose of this presentation is to provide an underlying identity in terms of the potential exposure of the “Ortdodox topic” in the society of our days, and also to provide a link between the content of Orthodox faith and the way in which Orthodoxy could be experienced throughout the human life.
