The Moral Crisis and the Problems of the Contemporary World

The problems of the contemporary world are based on a deep moral crisis, a lack of axiological coherence and a dilution of the fundamental moral-religious principles. Many ideologies are simply assaulting the contemporaneity, and out of all, neo-Marxism is the most relevant, being the exponent of an atheist materialism, but this time packed in scientist-humanist ideological forms, which deceives vigilance and our moral-spiritual system of protection. The present study analyses the problem of the crisis from a spiritual and moral point of view, but also its concrete implications at the existential level and at the life of faith, identifying the main moral problems of contemporaneity, and the issue of the necessary and urgent response from a religious perspective as well. It also emphasizes the role of the opportunity of changing the crisis, which offers the possibility of deepening the spiritual renewal.
