The author of this historical research Archim. Dr. Emilian Nica
analyses the historical sources in order to discover the causes and
the effects of this Decree given by the comunist regime, that chased
away from the monasteries thousands of monks and nones.
Presenting the Church archives of the Romanian Orthodox Church,
especially in the Metropolitanate of Moldavia and Bukovina, the
author finds letters, documents, papers where he could represent
the real impact this decree had in the Church of Moldavia and
how this situation of persecution influenced the Orthodox Church
for the future.
