The Funeral Service for Priests in Orthodox Church - inter-Orthodox Comparative Study

When it comes to the Church's ceremonies, the funeral ceremony of the priests represents the most complex liturgical record from all the funerals. Starting with the moment in which the ceremony was stabilized, in the XVI century and afterword, when it was taken over by the other euchologions of the local churches, this ceremony registers a series of differences in each Orthodox Church. This study aims to share some light over the differences between how five of the Orthodox Churches are practicing this ceremony: Greek, Antioch, Russian, Serbian and Romanian.
