Aspects from the teaching activity of Iosif Naniescu

Our study presents, based on the published speeches and works and also on unpublished manuscripts, the conceptions of the hierarch Iosif Naniescu, regarding the fundamental role of the religious education in the Romanian society of his time. As a professor and the Director of The Main Religious College (Seminary) in Bucharest, he has underlined the importance of the educational process and of the responsibility of the courses and lectures of history and religion. He has emphasized upon the essential need of keeping and not abolishing the religious courses, institutions and schools in the society.
